History of CoREM
We started in 1991 as the Westmoreland County Deming Study Group of Western PA, focusing on the principles espoused by the great management and quality thinker Dr. W. Edwards Deming. By 1998 it became clear that our title and stated focus should change to reflect our broadening areas of interest. Accordingly, we changed our name to the Council on Realizing Excellence in Management (i.e., CoREM), formed a board of directors, and incorporated as a nonprofit organization under article 501(c)3.
Since 1991, we've held monthly presentations and workshops on a great variety of cutting-edge topics related to enlightened leadership.
